FAQ

Exchange rates are compiled from information from the NBKR, banks, exchange points and other public sources. KursKG does not carry out transfers and is not a payment system operator.

About the service

KursKG is an exchange rate aggregation service for Kyrgyzstan. We gather the rates of banks and exchange points in one place, so you don't have to check each bank separately.
No. KursKG does not carry out transfers, does not hold your money and is not a payment system operator. We show information about rates — you make the transaction itself directly at a bank or exchange point.
Not always. The site has a separate “Official NBKR rate” block — that is the National Bank's rate, on which banks and exchange points set their own markup. The rates on bank and exchange point cards are their own, commercial rates.
No, KursKG is a showcase of rates, not an exchange point. For the transaction itself you need to contact a bank or exchange point directly — addresses and contacts are on the point's card.

Rates and data

Bank rates are synchronised once a day. Exchange points that have connected an account can update their rates manually at any moment.
Bank rates can change during the day faster than we manage to update them. Check the current rate directly at the branch or in the bank's app before the transaction.
Banks and exchange points have different cost structures and different approaches to margin — banks usually have a wider spread because of higher operating costs.
The difference between the buy and sell rates. The smaller it is, the better the deal for the customer in both directions.
“Buy” is the rate at which the bank or exchange point buys currency from you. “Sell” is the rate at which they sell currency to you. Look at the side that applies to your transaction.

Converter

Enter an amount — the converter shows the result for a bank and for an exchange point at the same time, highlighting the better option.
The converter uses the best available rate among the connected sources at the time of calculation, so the final number can differ slightly from an individual bank or exchange point card.

Exchange points

Through the exchange point's account — after registration and confirmation, the owner can publish and update rates on their own.
The exchange point that publishes a rate is responsible for its accuracy. KursKG does not verify or guarantee the currency of rates entered by third-party points.
The exchange points section is being filled in gradually — we invite exchange point owners to connect through their account.

Transfers

Some transfer rate data is still preliminary and being clarified — check the final terms directly with the transfer operator before sending.
No, we only compare the terms of different transfer operators. The transfer itself is made through the operator's website, app or office.

Analytics

The analytics on the site is for information only and is not financial advice. Make decisions about buying or selling currency yourself, consulting a specialist if needed.
